Since 1968, I have been a psychologist in clinical practice, an educator and, in later years, an author. In 2012, due to a disability, I was forced to retire from the private practice of psychology in my San Francisco office. I decided to let my license lapse and the loss of all that was challenging. But, it turned out there was a silver lining. It opened my eyes to the opportunity to do distant consultation with both professionals and nonprofessionals. Primarily through the use of such services as Skype and FaceTime, I now tutor professionals for their work in psychotherapy and provide personal consultation for non-professionals throughout the world. Now, the world is my office.

Get to know me better by checking out any of my books. All of them are available on Amazon.com with reviews and a “look inside this book” To see the Amazon sites for any of these books, click on the book covers below. I recommend starting with “Character Styles”. The introductions to three of these books are on the Books page as are the book reviews from Amazon customers. The consultation page explains both professional and personal consultation. See my resume and unpublished papers on the respective pages.
